Hydrex Tree Injections
Tree injection is a great alternative to tree spraying for landscape and ornamental trees. However for fruit trees with
edible fruit, spraying is still the best option. Pesticides injected into fruit trees can't be washed off fruits, so they
can't be eaten. Different pesticides, fungicides, or even nutrients can be injected below the bark of the tree - giving
longer lasting protection. By systemically injecting the appropriate product for your tree's problem, over spray and drift
is eliminated. Highly concentrated doses are carried up, and dispersed within the tree - protecting every last leaf. The
holes left from the injection are very small, and don't harm the tree. Injection is effective on a variety of tree pests
and fungal diseases. Beetles (including elm leaf, Japanese, and Asiatic garden) lace bugs, weevils, thrips, aphids, borers, and many other
pests can be controlled by tree injection. Fungal control includes oak wilt disease, Dutch elm disease, leaf diseases of
trees with fruit that isn't eaten, and anthracnose in sycamore trees. As with many other pest control methods, injections
are more effective as a preventative measure than they are at wiping out existing infestations. If you experience pest
swarms in your trees year after year, you should call to schedule an injection before the problem gets out of hand.
Estimates for treatment with the injection method depend on the circumference of the tree, and amount of trees on your
property.
